Luminostalgic Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Luminostalgic is a browser extension made by Luminech Studio (Arzu Rustamova). It shows YouTube's picture-in-picture video inside retro device themes. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your information.

What stays on your computer

Your settings (on/off, chosen theme, layout, Fill screen, Interactive mode, how much of each Pro theme's free preview you have used, and whether the extension has run on YouTube yet) are saved in your browser's extension storage. They are never sent anywhere.
The video you are watching. To show the video, title, and progress on the device, the extension reads the current YouTube video and its title from the page. This happens only inside your browser. Nothing about what you watch is collected, stored, or sent.

License keys (Pro)

If you buy Pro, you receive a license key by email. When you activate it, the extension sends the key and a device label (for example "Luminostalgic MacIntel") to Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, to check that the key is valid. The extension re-checks the key with Lemon Squeezy about once a day. If you choose "Move to another computer", it tells Lemon Squeezy to release that activation. If the check can't be completed (for example, you are offline), nothing changes and Pro stays unlocked. The key and its activation ID are stored in your browser's extension storage.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Your payment details go directly to them and are never seen by us. Lemon Squeezy shares the order details we need to support you, such as your email address and order number. Their privacy policy is at https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

What we do not do
